I can't even believe this world. Marc has one of the most noble professions TEACHING, and therefore must belong to the union of SCUM. The CTA has made its second donation to the No on Prop. 8 organization - to the tune of 1 million dollars. (Last donation was $250,000.00)I hope you can hear me screaming no right now wherever you are. I have already contacted my brother the lawyer to see how we can withdraw from this union he is forced to belong to. It doesn't seem right that we as a family spend our time fighting for what we believe in and his union pours dollars in the exact wrong direction. Please know that it was the union and not the teachers who made this wonderful decision on how to spend the dues but oh that makes it even more despicable. Sounds like PG&E, Brad has no say in them donating 250,000 to no on prop 8, but he still has to go to work everyday wearing a shirt that says PG&E and representing this company that has taken a stand in trying to abolish "The Family", so frustrating but what do you do?
this is soooo disturbing ! I hate to sound ignorant but I just don't understand how they can do that. I mean - don't they get to vote or something ? At least the No on 8 people apparently have brain donors for ad guys because I have yet to see an ad that even begins to make sense or can compensate for the damage done by Mr Newsom or the "field trip planners". We'll just have to keep working - right ?

Rick works for Verizon and they, too, MUST belong to the union-- Communication Workers of America. I just went on their website and they have the same rants from year to year to year, which is no more than conservative bashing.
I don't think Rick can vote on individual issues. When he took the job, he lost this particular voice. Oh, and we get to pay for this privilege! It's about $140 a month. $140 x millions of workers...you can see why unions are so powerful.

The teachers has never in California history represented the teachers! My Mom delt with this same liberal crap in her many years of teaching. I don't understand how you can be forced to be part of it. That's unconstitutional!! Freedom of speech, Religion, take your pick!!

I saw your link from Natalie Z.'s blog. I totally agree with you. My husband is also a teacher , and as a family we have spent weeks and countless hours doing what we can to support prop. 8. It's a huge slap in the face that they take my husband's hard earned money to support something that vehemently oppose.

The idea that our public school administrators are unbiased observers in this election or in our children’s moral education is a farce.
TODAY in our town, a prop 8 sign that was too close to school property was destroyed by two Conejo Valley Unified administrators. It was caught on camera.

There’s no way they can say that they are unbiased in this debate. The ferocity and cruelty shows through. This is who runs our schools. This is the face of tolerance. As much as I would like to believe that this is a rarity, 200,000 stolen, defaced, destroyed and vandalized signs proves otherwise.
