Missionary Letter

Well, Monday came and went and no letter. What is a mom to do but imagine 20 different scenarios where her son has met challenges that make it imposssible for him to write. Still no answer on why it was late but one of the moms on the missionary mom said it has taken up to two days for an email to make its way through the air. I'm just grateful it came. I know the Lord is watching over and protecting him but I will admit I was nervous until the letter arrived to the inbox.
mba ete kopio familia. This is my Guarani phrase for the week it just means how are you but hey its a start. Um everything down here in Sur america is fanatastic. like always. I got your package which made me oh so happy. i loved it. thanks melanie for whoopie chusion my comp thinks its hilarious. oh and that watch is killer sweet. but im going to wait til i get to asuncion to wear it. oh rubics cube was a big hit for all the nerds at zone conference (that is were i received it i promise i wont waste my time with it) ha i love missionaries, i think your hp automaticaly goes up like 20 points when you enter the mission field cause it doesnt matter what or who you were before the mission; everyone is here for the same reason so it so easy to be friends with everyone. My this week was good i got some cards from dave a eugene i feel bad cause i cant email them back make sure that youre sending them my letters. and i would love to get theirs. this week was great. we got some good rain on wednesday so its been pretty chill weather since. its like 25 C (75ish) and everyone is trippin out and saying that it freezing. then i told them that my family is in below 0 C weather right now and they were worrried for your lives. ha but today it started to heat back up. im glad that the holidays are over and people are a little more sober and we can get back to work again. um not to much time so ill just tell you about my favorite investigator right now. his name is edgar. but i call him justin cause he looks and sounds like this dude i used to work with for sister elison. en serio like twins! well we were just walking back one day and he asked if we wanted some tedede. and we said no but we would love some water. (tedede- a drink that paraguains drink from birth its got bunch of herbs and what not in it its fine to drink but missionaries cant drink it cause it will give us chibibi guazu (diarria) but after the mission its all good cause it will clean so ill bring some home) so he gaves some water and he just asked us some questions about what we believe and mid discussion he pulled out a cigerrera and my comp said and we also believe something called the word of wisdom. ha it was funny and he said yeah i always thought smoking was bad. and then i told him about repentance and he said that sounded nice i think im ready to repent now. ha that made my week it feels so good helping people become better people and come unto Christ. i love Paraguay and i love being a missionary. thanks again for all the presents and letters i feel so loved and blessed i have such a killer family.
And I have no idea what hp is. Maybe I.Q. but it is all fine and it makes me smile when I read his letters so you can't ask for more than that. 3 days until the wedding. And I know Christmas is over but changing my blog background is not made my list- yet.

Linda, I can't remember if I ever responded to the fact that our birthdays are the same. I can't believe we didn't make more of that either. Gosh, a missionary letter. Sometimes when we were in Pakistan it would take up to 5 days to get an e-mail. But that was better than regular mail that's for sure. We are doing well. I have been working in the Temple office with Diane Larsen. Interesting how paths cross isn't it? Tell Dean and Mary Ellen hello for us. I'm trying to get more skillful at getting notes to people through this medium but - well - what can I say? From Barbara (and Glen, too) Wahlquist - Jan 13, 2009
